While the world works to transition away from fossil fuels, we shouldn’t forget the important role that oil played in propelling humanity to the technologically advanced state we now find ourselves.

His research utilizes igneous petrology, geochemistry, and geochronology to understand orogenic processes and the geologic history of the Earth.
